Stedson always has a blast at this park! Good park and usually always well behaved dogs. A little before and after on a muddy day.

Very nice dog park. Small dog park and large dog park. Dog had fun. Friendly, clean, open space. Dog was happy and had fun.

This place has transformed since we first started going there. They have cleaned up the paths and cut back some of the shrubs. More mulch has been added and some additional benches too! This is by far the best dog park we’ve been too.

The dog park itself is a wonderful place and extremely valuable, considering it provides Providence residents (many of whom live in apartments and do not have yards) the opportunity for off-leash play, as well as essential socialization. It is also very unique, as it begins with wooded trails, which lead to clearings. The park could be improved with additional trashcans and by clearing the small dog section (it is terribly overgrown and thus unusable), but overall, I am very happy with the park. However, I have seen some frightening encounters between dogs, which could easily have been avoided. Just today, when I arrived at the dog park, a dog was attacking another dog. I assumed the owner of the dog who initiated the attack was going to leave, and proceeded to bring my dog in. Instead, the owner allowed the dog to stay, and about 20 minutes later, I witnessed it viciously attack a sweet and timid puppy. Pack mentality led many of the other dogs to join in the attack. The owner of the dog was completely ineffective in grabbing her dog, and seemed to be afraid to do so. Other owners tried to step in and help, and were bitten by the lead dog while doing so. The owner of the puppy managed to pick her squealing dog up, only to have the lead dog continue to attack by jumping up and biting at the dog, and trying to pull it out of its owners arms. It was a horifying sight, and totally unnecessary. The owner of this dog should have left after the first incident, but instead, she chose to be ignorant and irresonsible, resulting in harm to another dog, not to mention that the puppy could very well grow up to be scared of other dogs. I know my own dog, who goes to that park every day, is now terified of the park and all other dogs. Other owners who witnessed the attack said the same dog has been involved in other fights in the past. Beware of this dog. It is a female yellow lab/pit mix, medium-sized, and belongs to a tall, dark-haired woman. This dog is dangerous and should not be allowed back.

Big space for dogs to explore! Nice and shady on a hot day. It could be a muddy mess on a rainy day, though. It would be great if there were a trash cans to put poop bags in inside the park. Otherwise, very nice!
